This is the perfect setup of our popular M2 Labscope for the veterinarian, breeder, or fertility clinic, the Semen Evaluation LabScope is the complete package for live specimen microscopy.  The heated stage, adjusted to a perfect 37 degrees Celsius, keeps sperm cells active for proper evaluation.  The phase contrast PLAN objectives and turret condenser allow flat-field, high-contrast viewing of live, unstained specimens, and facilitates easy magnification changes with the flip of the thumb.

Manufactured in an ISO 9002 quality certified factory, this microscope is suitable for many other laboratory uses such as urinalysis, hematology, detection of fecal parasites, among others.  Simply unplug the heat controller for normal lab use.

Optics

• The M2 Semen Evaluation Microscope has four, flat field Plan Achromatic, DIN objectives: 4x (NA .10), 10x (NA .25), 40xr (NA .65), and 100xr Oil (NA 1.25).  As such, the scope can be used in the following ways:

• Annulus rings are built into a rotating sub-stage turret.  Because of the unique turret design, the annulus rings stay perfectly centered when changing magnifications, and will only require occasional re-centering. (Centering eyepiece included.)

• Objectives are parcentered and parfocal, anti-fungal coated

• Extra wide 10x/20mm high point eyepieces on an extra wide 30mm eye tube can be used with or without corrective eyewear, making it the perfect scope for busy professionals.  These high quality eyepieces are coated to eliminate reflection.

The Head

• Diopter adjustment, allowing adjustment to your exact needs with an interpupillary distance adjustment range of 50 to 75mm

• Binocular (Seidentopf) head is inclined 30 degrees for ease of use, rotates full 360 degrees

• Reverse nosepiece rotates unused objectives out of your way

• Head rotates a full 360 degrees for ease of use

• Eyetubes inclined 30 degrees

• Trinocular Head available with c-mount or eyepiece

• Multi-bearing quadruple nosepiece for a lifetime of trouble-free use

Frame

• The M2 & M5 Lab Microscopes are constructed of a rugged alloy, and finished with an acid and reagent resistant coating

• Because its frame is constructed on state of the art CNC computer controlled equipment, these scopes maintain perfect alignment and upgradability for years to come.

Stage

• The digital temperature control unit can be set for any temperature between 25 and 50 degrees Celsius. The heated stage will maintain accurate and stable temperatures within +/- 0.5 degrees during use.  Temperature can be set in 1 degree increments, and displays actual temperature in 0.1 degree increments. Heats to selected temperatures within 2 minutes.  Switchable power input 110v or 220v AC.

• Built in Mechanical stage (150 x 135mm) has coaxial drive controls, with a range of traverse of 76mm x 50mm, and etched vernier scales

• Stage accommodates slides up to 3 x 2 inches - or two 3 x 1 slides at once

• Traverse of mechanical stage actually allows examination of the entire slide, from corner to corner

Focus

• Coarse and fine focus adjustments with focusing limit control, 1.5 cm range of adjustment, fine adjustment graduation of 2um

Lighting

• Koehler Illumination provides bright and even illumination across the field of view, free of hot spots.

• The 12v 20w quartz halogen lamp is rheostat controlled for full range of brightness control, from no to full power

• Movable, focusable Abbe condenser (NA 1.25)

• Iris diaphragm is fully adjustable for exacting needs

• Filter holder with blue, green, and yellow filters

• Electronics automatically adjusts for voltages from 90 to 240 volts worldwide.
